Hey, I’m Jo!
… and alongside my posse (husband, 3 little kids), I live in the beautiful Southern Highlands, about 90mins south of Sydney.
I have more than 20yrs experience as a graphic designer and teacher.
When I have a moment, I design and make quilts. It’s a juggle… but I’m at my best when my hands are busy!
My favourite part of the process is definitely the ‘dreaming’, then the planning and choosing of fabric, obsessing wildly about colours and possibilities.
What I love most about quilting is the creation of functional art, that just happens to be graphic, colourful, and very cuddly!
I’m on a journey to find the sweet spot that brings together my career experience as a graphic designer and teacher, with the joy of making quilts.
MY APPROACH
Zero waste
I don’t chuck anything away. No fabric or threads go into landfill. It all gets used for crumb quilting, strip crochet, or cushion filler!
Approach
Colour, graphic shapes, and a good mix of hand and machine making. You can probably see the 70s child in my quilts!
My goals
Looking toward 2025, I’ll release more patterns, and settle into my craft and business being wonderful side adventures to work and family.
